A vinyl carpet runner with nubs up was placed in. Not even the strongest wind (gusts over 50 mph) has moved this and it's not attached to anything. Cat repellents were placed on the back porch and the marked sites were treated with an odor eliminator. Since we just put in a new Trex deck and noticed that the bottom of the catio was scratching it, we also put a rubber mat down as seen in the pics.

(They don't use the ramp, so we took it down after these pics.) We made our own screen insert to keep the bugs out for the cats to go in and out and close the gap between the house and deck door and the catio.Īll three cats love going out first thing in the morning and having the freedom of going in and out all day, weather permitting. Other self-builds we added include using the tools included with the purchase to cut an opening in the catio facing the deck door. The floor boards are not from Habitat Haven but are cedar deck planking. I must confess that we bought wood locally for the flooring and cut it to the needed length. • You can have a couple of small sized enclosures using the Vertical Runner to link them to make a big cat run. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.Ī great combination is to have 1 Enclosure near the house and have some runner to an enclosure that is down through your garden, this way you don't need a large Cat Enclosure. The Runners join together to make any length that you require. The runners are also used to link the Cat Enclosure to your house and linking 2 or more Enclosures together will give your cat room to play around in a safe environment.
